For your information …

 UPCHURCH RIVER VALLEY …

 … is a “pay and play” facility, which opened in 1991 and which remains under the ownership of Upchurch River Valley Golf Course Ltd.

 Although some pre-booking may be required, its wide range of both golfing and social facilities are essentially available to members of the general public.

 The Golf CLUB was also founded in 1991 with the express purpose of:

  • providing affiliation to those National and County ruling bodies, which would allow the club to allocate and administer CONGU handicaps;

  • promoting competitive golf by organising a full programme of club events/competitions.

 The Club is managed by an elected Committee and employs a part-time Secretary to handle day-to day administration.
 


You may therefore wish to bear in mind that …

 membership of Upchurch River Valley Golf CLUB is not a pre-requisite to visiting this venue and enjoying its many facilities

MEMBERSHIP

 The membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August.

There are three classes of membership, defined by age on the first day of the current membership year as follows: 

  • Senior Members: Persons aged between 18 years and 60 years

  • Veteran Members: Persons aged 60 years and over.

  • Junior Members: Persons aged under 18 years.

These shall be formed into the following sections: 

  • Mens Section      ~ comprising Senior Men

  • Veterans                              ~ comprising Veteran Men

  • Ladies                   ~ comprising Senior and Veteran Ladies

  • Juniors                  ~ comprising Male and Female Juniors.

Current “full year” subscription rates are as follows: 

  • Senior Members:                                £80.00

  • Veteran Members:                            £64.00

  • Junior Members:                                £20.00.

although these are subject to some “pro rata” adjustment for those joining during the year.

 Membership is by application to the Club Secretary in writing. Admittance into membership is at the discretion of the Company, in collaboration with the Club Committee. Only applicants signifying full acceptance of the Club’s Constitution and agreeing to comply fully with its provisions at all times will be admitted into membership.

 Vacancies currently exist in all sections, although this situation can vary throughout the membership year and waiting lists can come into operation
